From, today onwards, Yahoo! has decided to discontinue their popular IM client, Yahoo Messenger for Vista. This doesn’t mean there won’t be any Yahoo! Messenger, Yahoo says it now focuses on keeping one client for all Windows.
Yahoo messenger for Vista was a custom IM client developed specifically for Windows Vista with graphical rich user interface. It offers the same set of features that other Windows version offers, and has no bugs as far as I know. The only feature missing is the webcam support for video calls, but that can be easily skipped.

Yahoo Messenger 9.0 (final version) was released for public download a few days back and introduced many new features along with improvements in existing ones.
Just like Windows Live Messenger, Yahoo Messenger also display ads at the bottom of the main window and sometimes they do get irritating with flashy ads. Yahoo Mash Is Shutting Down
Barely an year ago, I reviewed and gave out invitations of Yahoo!’s another attempt in social networks, Yahoo! Mash. And now I’ve got a mail from them saying that it is shutting down.
Yahoo should now learn that they cannot run a social networking site as this was the fourth failed attempt in a row. First they started off with Yahoo 360 which was later shut down, then a failed deal with Facebook and Bebo and now Yahoo! Mash.
Yahoo AU: New Home Page Unveiled
Yahoo is still silent on the exec. departures even with their stock price going down day by day. They haven’t spoke a word about it anywhere. Today, TechCrunch reported about a new Yahoo home page being unveiled at Yahoo Australia. A new Yahoo logo was also spotted in the wild previously, but there were no expectations for a new home page design. You can take the tour of the beta design here. It’s still in beta, so you can expect some changes while the final design releases.
New Yahoo! Mail Domains Go Live
Yahoo announced today of adding two new domains to Yahoo! Mail. Ymail.com and Rocketmail.com were planned to go live at 12PM (Pacific). And users can now create new email accounts using on these domains. I’d prefer you to hurry up before all the good usernames are taken on both the domains. You know how these spammers are!
Yahoo! Mail Gets New Ymail and Rocketmail Domains
Yahoo still continues its on-going attempt to stop users from moving to other email providers, like Gmail, and is working hard to keep its existing ones loyal to them. To improve their mail service, Yahoo! Mail has added two new email domains, Ymail and Rocketmail. Currently, both ymail.com and rocketmail.com are pointing to Yahoo! Mail, but users will be able to create accounts on these domains after 12PM (Pacific).
