Apple just announced the next major update of their mobile OS, iOS 5. Worldwide Developers Conference 2011 (WWDC 2011) is going on in full swing and Apple just took the wraps off iOS 5.
iOS 5 brings a number of new features. Notifications, Newsstand, Tabbed Browsing in Safari, Twitter integration in iOS etc.
FutureTap developer has received their first crash report from a devioce running on iOS 5.0. This means Apple is now field-testing their next upcoming iOS 5.0 with App Store apps.
The app crashed in iOS 5.0 because of MKUserLocationBreadCrumb. This API is related to maps and location.
New set of rumours have just arrived related to the iPhone 5. According to a Chinese source, Apple is planning to go for an aluminium rare case in the iPhone 5. This is to counter all the complaints people had with the iPhone 4 being heavy and easy to damage.
The side-mounted antennas will no longer be there. Hence, no antennagate? There will be a single point antenna on the rear of the phone underneath the Apple logo.
