25+ Android Twitter Clients

Twitter clients on Android don’t have the shiny UI and eye-candy that the iPhone Twitter clients offer, but they sure do have all the features one need, infact a few more in some apps.

There are many Android Twitter apps. Seesmic for Android and Twidroid remains my favourite, but I still decided to try out other Twitter clients from the Android Market, wondering if there is any other app out there waiting to be my default client on the Nexus One!

TweetDeck for Android

tweetdeck-logoAfter expanding TweetDeck from the desktop version to iPhone and the recently announced iPad release, TweetDeck for Android will soon make its way to the Android Market.

A tweet by the makers of TweetDeck revealed that a TweetDeck Android and BlackBerry version is coming soon.

Twitter Launching @anywhere Service

twitter-logoEvan Williams, Twitter CEO, plans on introducing a new feature in Twitter, @anywhere, which will allow Twitter users to connect to their Twitter accounts using third party websites. This service allows users to easily share news while reading them online from different websites like The New York Times, eBay etc.

Twitter said they have developed a new set of framework which will improve Twitter experience. The new @anywhere feature does not work on the API already implemented by Twitter but works with simple javascripts. The owner of the side needs to add few links of javascript on his site to use this feature.

Seesmic for Android: TweetPhoto Service Added

seesmic-logoSeesmic for Android also received an update today after the Seesmic for BlackBerry app update yesterday.

I did mention yesterday that Android users will soon get an update as the BlackBerry users got one yesterday and today morning when I woke up, I saw a notification on my Nexus One for a Seesmic update available.

Seesmic for BlackBerry Updated: Multi-accounts and Ping.fm Support

seesmic-logoSeesmic for Blackberry has received a big update today. This app was first launched in November 2009 along with an Android version, and since then we have seen it improve with every update.

The BlackBerry Twitter app, Seesmic, is now one of the best and probably the only full feature-loaded Twitter client for Blackberry devices.
