Twitter for Android 2.0 was just released by Twitter and is now available for download from the Android Market. What is new in it? A brand new UI, lots of bug fixes and is now a lot faster than before.
The official Twitter Android app has always lacked Twitter developers love as compared to it’s iPhone counterpart – even in the last major update, it never got any better.
Twitter just rolled out the new Twitter for Android 2.0 with a UI overhaul, performance tweaks, bug fixes and is now a lot faster than the previous official Twitter Android app.
I just downloaded it on my Samsung Galaxy S (my Nexus One is on vacation for a few days), and have been using it for a few minutes. First look is impressive, but it kinda feels sluggish and bug-ish when you start using it.
Seesmic launched a new version of Seesmic for Android 1.5 today. It brings a whole lot of new improvements and features I wanted for so long in this app.
Seesmic for Android was already my most favourite Twitter client on Android, and it just got way more better with the latest update.
Twitter clients on Android don’t have the shiny UI and eye-candy that the iPhone Twitter clients offer, but they sure do have all the features one need, infact a few more in some apps.
There are many Android Twitter apps. Seesmic for Android and Twidroid remains my favourite, but I still decided to try out other Twitter clients from the Android Market, wondering if there is any other app out there waiting to be my default client on the Nexus One!
