Facebook Rolling Out Location based Service Tomorrow?

clip_image002News reporting agencies and various news sources are being invited by the Facebook authorities on Wednesday, August 18, 2010 in an event which is being organized to “provide an update on the service’s features and products” of Facebook. The invitation news just popped up sometime today and it is still blurry on what the ‘update’ will actually be to the services offered by Facebook.

Twitter Launching @anywhere Service

twitter-logoEvan Williams, Twitter CEO, plans on introducing a new feature in Twitter, @anywhere, which will allow Twitter users to connect to their Twitter accounts using third party websites. This service allows users to easily share news while reading them online from different websites like The New York Times, eBay etc.

Twitter said they have developed a new set of framework which will improve Twitter experience. The new @anywhere feature does not work on the API already implemented by Twitter but works with simple javascripts. The owner of the side needs to add few links of javascript on his site to use this feature.
