This month has been the best of best months ever for me! Well, that’s because I got on Digg’s front page for the first time and was a big achievement for me. Plus my traffic has gone up with better Search Engine Ranking Position and got me tons of link backs, and now I’m expecting a PR5 in the next PR update by Google. Even with a Digg effect, I still got more visitors from search engines. Here’s a mini-report of Sizzled Core’s statistics for the month of June.

Firefox 3 is now officially the most downloaded software in 24 hours. And since Tuesday, it has received over 12 million downloads. Firefox is the world’s most secure browser, but its first critical vulnerability was found just after 5 hours of its release. Even after working for so many months on this browser, it looks like they still missed some holes in the core.
Technical details of the vulnerability were not released to the public, and Zero Day Initiative (ZDI) states that they have reported it to the Mozilla team and they are now working on a patch, which will be out soon. They also said there are no known exploits at this time.
If you are experiencing slow Windows, I’d recommend you try out Thoosje Quick XP Optimizer. It is capable of optimizing and speeding up your Windows in a single mouse-click! It is a freeware application that optimizes your system startup process, your Internet connection for better performance and faster browsing speeds, and includes many other optimizations for your system.
The interface is very simple and easy to use. You can even select which tweaks you want and which you don’t. Just a click of the “Optimize” button will start the process. And if you feel this application has done something wrong with your system, you can even undo the changes made.
The last time I did a roundup post was somewhere in November 2007, when my stats were dropping. But since then, a lot of things has changed. I took a 4 months break because of my exams, and then returned back at the end of April and having posting regularly since then. The stats have been pretty interesting than what they were back in November.
Now let’s kick off with this year’s first roundup post, and first begin with the best posts of the previous month. Do let me know which one you enjoyed the most.
Ever had to uncompress an important file at school or office and you don’t find any uncompressing application on the computer? Situations like this can occur, and can get really frustrating at times. This is why I found an online tool which uncompresses files online without requiring you to install anything on your computer.
WobZip is a web tool that allows you to uncompress zip files online. It does not require any registration and features quick, safe and easy uncompressing online. Simple browse the file, and click the Uncompress button.
Only a few days ago I posted about the first official picture of Nokia 7310 released by Nokia, and guess what, it’s now available in the market! Everyone thought this S40 powered phone will be a part of the classic series, but it turned out to be 7310 Supernova. This name doesn’t look good for an ordinary phone like this one. I think it would have been better with the classics.
Currently, it’s available in Asia only. Previously, it was thought that this phone will have a 3.2MP camera, but it turned out that we were wrong and it only has a 2MP camera.
Here’s another so-called ‘leaked’ 3g iPhone photo and this time it’s by a Dutch site iPhoneclub.nl and to me, this photo looks quite convincing. But still, I can’t be sure that this is 100% the same 3G iPhone that Apple is going to release. I don’t understand one thing, that why do only ‘leaked’ 3G iPhone photos makes their way on the web. Why are there no videos? I wish I could see a video of a working ‘leaked’ 3G iPhone. This image is totally different, from what I posted last time.
Recently I saw a similar post on TechZilo, one of the blogs I regularly read, and thought is a very nice idea to socialize with our readers. I’ve always been active on Facebook, Orkut, StumbleUpon, Digg etc.
I’ve never been active on Twitter, but since many people are ‘following’ more and more people on Twitter and it has been one of the fastest growing social networks, I’ve also started using it. I’m looking forward to expanding my friends network, and know my readers better.
