Opera has finally released the first beta version of Opera Mobile 9.5. It has been designed for touchscreen devices with Windows Mobile 5 or 6 on them.

The first beta of Opera Mobile 9.5 comes outfitted with added performance, a new UI and the developer tool Opera Dragonfly.

How To Add More Slots In Opera Speed Dial

Opera 9.5 logoOpera is no doubt one of the fastest, and most powerful web browser available. Of course, Firefox is still my favourite browser, but we can’t put Opera behind. It uses only 20MB of memory as compared to Firefox’s 60MB memory consumption. One of the best features and first of its kind in Opera is the Speed Dial feature. It was introduced back in April 2007, in Opera 9.2. It lets you visit your favourite and most-visited sites quickly with a mouse-click.

In earlier versions of Opera, it wasn’t possible to edit the number of slots but with the latest release, it is now possible using a very simple hack, thanks to Opera Watch.

Opera 9.5 Released: Browser War Heating Up

First, I would like to apologize for no posts yesterday and the number of downtimes this blog faced. My article Amazing Future Projects Of Dubai got on Digg’s frontpage yesterday, and due to this my host could not handle the traffic flood. The Digg effect has cooled down now, so regular posts will continue back from today. And yes, no more downtimes or those stupid excessive CPU usage messages!

Just two days after the release of Opera 9.5 RC, they are out with the final release of Opera 9.5. After months of beta testing, the final version is much faster and cooler than the previous ones. It also has a new metallic default theme. The most recently added feature is Opera Link, that helps you synchronize your bookmarks between Opera Mini and Opera 9.5 desktop.
