Ovi Store in Symbian^3 lacks good applications, but it doesn’t mean they don’t have any at all. The cricket season is on right, so we thought how about looking for an app that gives you live cricket updates on your Symbian^3 device!
Cricket Companion is a paid app on the Ovi Store which gives live cricket updates, notifications, match info, cricket news and a lot more. This app is free these days to celebrate Cricket World Cup 2011.

Best Symbian^3 Applications and Games for Nokia N8

in Gadgets, Mobile Apps

Symbian^3 is the latest iteration of Symbian, the popular mobile operating system from Nokia. Symbian63 currently runs on two devices, that are Nokia N8 and the Nokia E7.
I’ve managed to compile a list of all the good and free Symbian^3 applications available for both the devices. All of these apps are available for download as full version from the Ovi Store and do not include official apps/games. Tested on the Nokia N8 (click here for our Nokia N8 review).
Nokia N8 Preview

Nokia has recently launched the Nokia N8, their latest multimedia powerhouse and the 2010 flagship product of Nokia.
I was lucky enough to try out the phone before its launch in my country – Pakistan – and also got a hands-on experience on how Nokia has evolved its concepts with this phone release and brings a new Nokia experience for all the smartphone users.
Nokia N8 Review by Eldar Murtazin
Nokia was once my favourite mobile phone choice, but due to their several last high-end failures, I have now moved away from Nokia to others. Nokia N8 photos and documents have been leaked earlier, but Eldar Murtazin of Mobile-Review has got his hands on the device for review.
According to the Nokia N8 review by him, it could be another disappointment for Nokia fans. It’s got 12 megapixels camera, which take great photos – a bit better than the Sony Ericsson Satio, but what’s most disappointing is the new Symbian^3 OS.
