August 20, Last Day to get Windows 7 RC
A quick reminder for everyone who is still thinking whether to try the upcoming Microsoft OS, Windows 7, or not that today is the last day to grab a copy of the Release Candidate version of Windows 7.
The official test release, Windows 7 RC, from Microsoft is currently available for download. But today, on August 20, the download page will be taken off and then you will have to wait till the final release.
Zune HD New Pictures Surface
Even though Microsoft also keeps themselves lip-tied about their upcoming productcs, but they always provide enough information in leaked form that hardy any Microsoft rumours go wrong.
Today, a Zune MVP on Twitter posted some photos of Zune HD, but those were later removed in fear of NDA.
How to Install a Browser in Windows 7 E

Along with the three Windows 7 versions I told about along with the announced OS pricing, there will be two different versions for the UK consumers, Windows 7 E and Windows 7 N.
The OS with an “E” won’t have a browser installed by default i. e Internet Explorer 8. And Windows 7 N will don’t come with a media player installed i.e Windows Media Player 12.
Microsoft Announces Windows 7 Prices
We all know that Microsoft will start selling Windows 7Â from October 22nd, but we didn’t had any confirmations on what the pricing will be like.
Early rumours said that Microsoft will offer free upgrade to Windows 7 for Vista users, but that was all proved wrong with the latest pricing announced.

There have been number of note-taking applications which include text and photo notes. But a voice-note application, and that also by Microsoft is something new in the industry.
Today, Microsoft unveiled Microsoft Recite, a new service to the public that could record random voice notes and you can recall that message later by speaking back to the app.
Watch Microsoft CES 2009 Keynote Live
This year has kicked off with some really big events like the upcoming last Macworld and the annual event Microsoft Consumer Electronics Show 2009, widely known as Microsoft CES 2009.
It is to be held on Wednesday, January 7 at 6.30pm PST with all Microsoft fans eagerly waiting because it is expected that Windows 7 Beta release date will be announced. Moreover, Steve Ballmer is going to replace Bill Gates for the keynote at CES 2009.
Windows 7 Beta 1 Invitations Being Sent
On Decemeber 16, Microsoft selected a group of beta testers and mailed them invitations to participate in Windows 7 Beta 1. Yes, the beta release is pretty near, although they haven’t let out any word on when they are planning to make it public.

It seems like Microsoft is buffing up its latest and shiniest software piece, Windows 7, for a release earlier than people expected. Originally in 2007, after Windows Vista released, Microsoft said that another version of Windows should be expected after 3 years somewhere in 2010.
But a recent news was brought into the spotlight by CNET, in a Windows Vista Velocity program presentation, that it was confirmed by Doug Howe, Microsoft’s Director, that Microsoft is pressing for Windows 7 release in holiday season of 2009.
