iPod Touch 4, the fourth-generation of iPod Touch, was announced earlier today with Retina display, FaceTime and is powered by the Apple A4 chipset.
This was not the only announcement made at the Apple Fall 2010 event today. iOS 4.1 for iPhone and iPod Touch, iOS 4.2 for iPad, the new iPod Shuffle and iPod Nano, Apple TV were the other announcements.
All the iPods have got a major upgrade in design as well as in their features. iPod Shuffle refresh was announced earlier, and then came the all new iPod Nano.
Finally, the much awaited iTunes 9.1 has been released with many new features and is now available for download.
The new iTunes 9.1 features support for the iPad and option to sync it with iTunes, an audio books section which consists of books that are compatible with all the Apple devices etc.
Rock and Roll has been a big disappointment to all those iPod Touch fans who were expecting a camera in the upcoming Touch lineup, but Apple just unveiled the fifth generation of iPod Nano and that also with a video camera integrated in it.
Well, the rumours of iPods with video cameras were quite strong and they did prove right, but as for the leaked photos of iPod Touch with a camera have been all fake.
At the ongoing Rock and Roll event of Apple, the availability of iPhone and iPod Touch firmware 3.1 has just been announced which will be a free upgrade from iTunes.
This download will be available on iTunes 9, which has also just been announced with lots of new features and enhancements.
Another Apple event is here, and again we’re expecting lots of stuff from them to be announced in the next couple of hours. The main expected announcement is of the new iPods lineup, confirmed by several sources, that iPods will now also feature a camera for taking photos.
This event starts at 10am Pacific (1PM Eastern/11PM Pakistan) and is being held at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco.
AppleInsider has confirmed that Apple is planning to host a media event where it will be unveiling the new iPod lineup for this year on September 9.
No confirmations are available on what actually Apple will announce in that event, but it is highly rumored that Apple will be introducing new iPods with point-and-shoot cameras.
I’m a big fan of Apple for all the eye-candy and quality it brings with its products. Something like that has happened again with the launch of the all new third generation iPod Shuffle!
Earlier this month, Apple launched the new Mac mini, Mac pro etc. but wasn’t received well by the consumers beucase of the sky-high prices. But things are different with iPod Shuffle.
But if you are really bored of the default look, you can now install hundreds of UI themes, with just a few tweaking and a freeware by iPW.
