iPhone 4.0 Firmware Gets Multitasking, Finally!
One of the biggest complaints that all iPhone users have is the lack of multitasking support in the iPhone, and no, this is not a new issue, but something which has been bugging everyone for the last 3-4 years since the first iPhone released.
According to some sources for AppleInsider, Apple is finally planning to incorporate a task manager that will integrate with the established iPhone user interface in the iPhone OS 4.0.
WWDC 2010 Corporate Event Booked for June 28
Apple may not be telling anyone about this and will remain liptied till the last moment, but they have booked Moscone Center for a “Corporate Event” which is to be held in July.
We believe this Corporate Event will be the WWDC (Worldwide Developers Conference) 2010 because that’s the only Apple event that takes place in June-July every year.
iPhone 4.0 OS Features
All eyes are focused on the Apple’s ‘Latest Creation” event which is set to be held at 10 AM PST on January 27, at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts Theater, San Francisco.
The folks over at BGR have managed to get some information on what new features will be there in the upcoming iPhone 4.0 OS.
Apple “Latest Creation” Launches January 27
The long rumoured Apple event is finally official and confirmed for January 27. Apple sent out some invites a couple of days ago to some selected members who would join them for the event.
Apple will most probably be launching the long-awaited and long rumoured Apple Tablet aka iSlate as their “Latest Creation”.
iPhone 4.0, Next Major Firmware Update
In my previous post, I mentioned about the existence of iPhone 4.0 firmware. It was discovered by BGR, when they were going through their server logs and found iPhone 4.0 and iPhone 3.1.3 in it.
This shows that someone has been using these firmwares, probably in the Apple testing labs, to browse the web and test.
iPhone 3.1.3 Firmware Update Coming Soon
Boy Genius Report has found something really interesting while going through their website logs – iPhone 3.1.3 and iPhone 4.0 firmware.
The server logs show that someone has been browsing the site using iPhone 3.1.3 OS.
Apple Maps Navigation in iPhone 4G, Really?
Apple coming out with their own Apple/iPhone Maps Navigation application? Well, I’m glad Google did a great job with Google Maps Navigation which was included in Motorola Droid, running on Android 2.0 and now has been added to some devices with Android 1.6.
MacRumors have found a new job listing in Apple for an iPhone Software Engineerwho will work on the Maps application for iPhone and iPod Touch.
