No matter how much spam-filled Orkut is right now, but it’s still the most used social network in India, Brazil and several other countries.
Some people use multiple accounts for their online presence. Like, not everyone likes to have their family and friends in the same account (Orkut doesn’t have a list feature like Facebook).

I personally don’t prefer Facebook chat much and have almost put it on offline, but this tip could be helpful for those who use it a lot to chat with friends on Facebook.
I’m sure none of you would be aware of the entire list of emoticons available in Facebook Chat, but this little Greasemonkey script will display all of them like in any IM chat window.
Direct Image Link in Google Image Search

When I want to search for images, the first place to look for that comes to my mind is Google Image Search. It does lack a few features, but I still use it for all my image-searching needs.
To get a direct link for any image in Google Image Search, you have to first click the image and get the direct link from the website page where that image belongs to. But thanks to a Greasemonkey script, getting a direct link is much easier now.

in General, Tips and Tricks
Greasemonkey is a Firefox extension that allows Firefox users to install scripts that make quick changes to web pages. Greasemonkey can be used to add new functionality to web pages and web sites like adding an HTML signature in Google, bypassing image verification in Orkut etc.
Opera has a in-built feature that can support Greasemonkey scripts (custom JavaScript). These user scripts work exactly how they work in Firefox. You can read the brief tutorial after the jump on how you can use it.

I’m back with another wave of the most popular post of this blog, download free orkut themes! Unlike the previous posts (1, 2), this time I’ll post themes that were officially released by Orkut, but since they were only for Indian users, others couldn’t taste them. If you are a non-Indian and would like to try out what official themes look like, download the themes from below and use them.
The previous ones have become quite boring now, and I was getting mails to add some more. So here are the 10 themes that Orkut recently added for Indian users, but first, make sure you meet all the requirements. :)
Greasemonkey For Firefox 3 Now Available
Greasemonkey is an all-time popular extension of our favourite browser, Firefox. Since, Firefox 3 alphas and betas started releasing, one thing users missed was this extension, because it was not being updated for Firefox 3. Everyone was looking for updates, but for some reason there was none available on the official Firefox add-ons site.

Greasemonkey has been finally updated for Firefox 3. Greasemonkey 0.8, a pre-release version, and can be downloaded directly from here. This version was first seen in this thread of Greasemonkey users group. The new version is compatible with all Firefox 3.0.x releases, so it doesn’t matter if you are on a Release Candidate or on the final version.
