The Chrome OS event is going on live right now and guess what, Chrome OS just got announced!
Chrome OS runs on the Chrome Netbooks which puts all the focus on connectivity and browsing. According to Google, users spent more time in browsers than using other applications in a computer.

Google just released a stable version of Google Chrome 4 a few days ago, and they are already on with Chrome 5.

This is probably the first Google Chrome extension I’m sharing. I was just waiting for some useful and good extensions to come out after its launch in Chrome.
IE Tab allows you to browse websites in Chrome that are only viewed correctly with Internet Explorer (yes, there are still such sites).
Chrome OS Netbook Release Date, Specifications & Price Leaked
Google has been working on a lot of things and we just can’t wait to know what exactly it is and when it is coming out. First, we have the Nexus One being rumoured to be released for $199 next month.
Now, we also have some details of the Chrome OS Netbook leaked out, thanks to IBTimes. Not sure, how reliable these ‘leaked’ details are, but according to them the Chrome OS netbook release date, specifications and price is out.
Google Chrome Beta for Mac OS X and Linux
Back in June, Google released the first development version of Google Chrome for Mac OS X and Linux platforms.
Mac and Linux users have been waiting for a proper release version since then, but Google has kept quite in letting out any word on when the first beta would be released.
