Microsoft Offering Alternative Browsers to Windows 7 Users

windows7-logoNow this is something really very surprising! Microsoft is offering other “alternative” web browsers to its users in Europe.

In the latest Windows Update, Microsoft prompts users of Internet Explorer using Windows XP, Vista and Windows 7 to make an “important choice” of choosing their web browser. The move is part of a settlement with the European Commission.

Opera Mini for iPhone

opera-mini-iphoneOpera Mini for iPhone has been officially announced on the Opera blog and is set to unveil it during the MWC (Mobile World Congress) 2010.

MWC10 is set to kick off in Barcelona next week where Opera plans to unveil more of Opera-powered devices. Just today morning, I tweeted about having Opera Mini for Android. Now I hope they also include the Android version for MWC10.

Google Chrome 5 Developer Build Released

Today, the Chrome Dev team has released the first developer build of the next Chrome, v5.0.307.1. This version is available for Windows and Mac.

Firefox for Android Coming in February

firefox-logo-newFirefox Mobile is still in development and we are already hearing of a Firefox for Android version expected to release next month. Firefox for Maemo and Windows Mobile is already in development.

Firefox for Android alpha version is being expected in February as the development work on it started back in December 2009. This news was posted on the German Firefox community site.
