This is it. One OS everywhere Ice Cream Sandwich. Google is finally trying to put an end to all the fragmentation issue with all the Android devices. According to Google, “We want one OS that runs everywhere.”

Ice Cream Sandwich will state of the art (holographic) UI, richer widgets, advanced app framework etc. This will be the one OS that will run on phones, tablets, laptops, computers etc. We think, this all to battle down Android fragmentation.

Google Movies for Android: Rent, Buy Movies for Phones, Tablets

Google has just unveiled Google Movies for Android. It is a service for Android phones and tablets that allows users to rent/buy movies fr0m the Android Market for as low as $1.99 and you can download them directly off the Market.

Google Music offers a 30-day rental period and you can watch the whole movie within 24 hours. This service has a Google Movies app for Android phones and a separate one for tablets as well.

Honeycomb 3.1 Announced

Google just announced Honeycomb 3.1 software update for Verizon Android tablets i.e Motorola XOOM. Honeycomb 3.1 is the next major update rolling out to the Android tablet version of the OS.

Some of the features demonstrated of Honeycomb 3.1 include widgets resizing, enhanced task switcher, USB input devices support, USB host i..e Microsoft Xbox 360 controller!

Google Music to be Announced at Google I/O 2011

Google Music is expected to launch today at Google I/O 2011. Last year, Google demoed what Google Music (your music on the cloud) would be like, but due to several issues, they would be launching Google Music this year at #io2011.

Music server by Google took many hiccups in the past several months with music labels not signing up with Google, but this didn’t stop Google from not offering the Google Music service for Android users.

Sony Ericsson XPERIA Arc – the phone with curves. It is the most gorgeous device from Sony Ericsson. I have always liked SE because of their designs, sound quality and most of all, their camera lens which they use in their smartphones.

First, Sony Ericsson came out with the famous Cybershot phones with amazing camera quality – and not just camera, they had the best music quality as well. And now, with the XPERIA Arc, they have raised the bar again with the amazing Exmor R photography. It the same lens which is used in several Sony Cybershot cameras i.e DSC-TX7.

Sony Ericsson Xperia Play. Here we are with the preview of the first PlayStation-certified phone aka PlayStation Phone. It’s big, bulky, fast and can indeed play PSP games!

We have only spent a little while with the Xperia Play yet, but from what we see, this device comes almost on par with the Xperia Arc (XPERIA Arc Preview). Soon, we will take the XPERIA devices: X10, Arc and Play, head-to-head with each other in a comparison.
