Sony Ericsson to launch Android 3.0 Gingerbread based Gaming Platform Smartphone
When the world is curious about the latest version of Google’s smartphone operating system Android 2.2 and its new features, news from reliable sources are confirming something very hard to believe. Sony Ericsson, a company which has ventured deep into entertainment and casual cellphones instead of the more serious smartphones is now planning to revolutionize how gaming systems work on smartphones.

The company, which has never released an Android 2 smartphone, is planning to launch a complete gaming platform for the next big version of Android, the Android 3.0. The important thing here is, they’re just not planning it but sources have identified that development work is already underway!
Android 3.0 on Nexus One, Out In The Wild
We know Google is internally testing Android 3.0 (Gingerbread)’s early builds and somehow it seems a leaked photo of Android 3.0 running on Nexus One is also out in the wild.
Android 3.0 is expected to release by the end of this year, but Google is completely lip-tight about any sort of info on when Gingerbread (Android 3.0) is going to be released or announced.
HTC Vision Specifications, Dual-CPU Snapdragon Processor
Qualcomm has started testing their dual-CPU Snapdragon processors on devices and one such device is out to one of it’s partners (I’m eagerly waiting for a leaked video or photo – hehe!).
One such device which is rumoured to have this new dual-CPU processor is the HTC Vision. No, we can’t be sure of Qualcomm sent the sampling piece to HTC or some other partner, but this device will be a beast for sure!

HTC Sabor with Android 3.0 Gingerbread, 2GHz Processor
The rumours mill just keep on filling till we see the official announcement! Now the next rumour we have, is of HTC Sabor, a device being cooked up at HTC which will feature a 2GHz processor and will be one of the first devices to have Android 3.0 “Gingerbread” on board.
Sounds to good to be true, eh? But you never know! The rumours don’t end here! it is also said that HTC might be working on their own display technology to bring on the fight with Super AMOLED and LCD displays.
Android 3.0 Screenshots, Gingerbread UI
Android 2.2 release was an epic slap on Apple’s face, which was announced at the Google I/O 2010, two days ago. The update has already started rolling out to the Nexus One users, hence the advantage of owning a “Google Phone”.
In all the excitement for Froyo, we totally skip out something what Google showed us at the Google I/O. In the videos where google shows what they have in store for Android next, they revealed (probably) Android 3.0 (Gingerbread) UI, which looks like a refresh from what we have in Froyo and previous versions.
Next Android Version to be Called Froyo
The next version of Android will be called Froyo, which is short for “frozen yoghurt”. Engadget caught up with Erick Tseng, Senior Product Manager of Android, who dished up some information.
Google has its own way to make us keep guessing what would the next Android version be called. As the trend follows with, C-upcake, D-onut and E-clair – We knew the next name would start with a ‘F’-royo.
