Root HTC Desire with Tiny Core Linux
HTC Desire root is out and it will be using a 10MB installation of Linux called as Tiny Core. HTC Desire and HTC Legend root news was out a couple of months back when Paul from Modaco forums was able to root both the devices.
Rooting HTC Desire was not as easy as it used to be in the times of HTC Hero and other devices. But he finally managed to pull the root for HTC Desire. HTC Legend root will be coming soon.
Skyfire 2.0 for Android Released, Supports Flash Videos

Skyfire 2.0 for Android phones is now available in the Android Market for public download! Skyfire 1.0 for Android remained in beta for testing purposes and is now finally available as Skyfire 2.0.
Mozilla just came out with the first pre-alpha release of Fennec for Android yesterday, and as Skyfire didn’t wanted to stay behind, they are in with the launch of their browser for Android – that also supports FLASH videos!

HTC Desire firmware/software update 1.15.405.4 is now online OTA and is being pushed to users all over the world with new features and fixes.
This update should be downloaded automatically to your HTC Desire.
HTC Desire Software Update Now Available
HTC Desire has just received a software update, HTC Desire 1.15.405.4 firmware, which is an Over The Air (OTA) update and is now available for download.
Just today Paul from Modaco forums tweeted about rooting HTC Desire. Not much is known about what new features or additions have been made in this update. We’ll find that soon.
HTC Legend Also Rooted by Paul
In my previous post, I wrote that Paul has managed to root HTC Desire for full access, but this is not all, along with HTC Desire, he has also managed to root HTC Legend.
If you’re still wondering what is root access, well, it’s more like to jailbreak iPhone which allows you to get access to system files and modify them for whatever features you want to develop as addons. But they only work with rooted Android devices.
HTC Desire Rooted on Android 2.1
Yep, you read it right. HTC Desire has been rooted with HTC Sense running on Android 2.1. Paul from Modaco forums has managed to get full root user access on the device making sure you get to play with whatever files you want in the phone.
This is not first time he has rooted Android phones. Paul is widely known for his work in rooting Android devices like the HTC Hero and the Nexus One.
Motorola Milestone Gets Android 2.1: Live Wallpapers, 9 Homescreens etc
Motorola has announced that all Motorola Milestone users in Europe will be getting Android 2.1 update. Android 2.1 update is available Over-The-Air. This means that you do not have to connect your Motorola Milestone to your computer or anything like that.
The latest Android 2.1 update for Motorola Milestone will come with support for 9 different home screens, live wallpapers, Google Earth and loads of new applications which include Motorola’s own camera application, Facebook app and Quickoffice.
Sprint Hero and Samsung Moment Getting Android 2.1
Sprint has announced that they will be releasing Android 2.1 Eclair update for Samsung Moment and HTC Hero by the end of this month.
An HTC forum member mentioned that the expected release date for Android 2.1 for HTC Hero could be 26 March, who spoke to HTC executive to troubleshoot his HTC Hero and had a conversation about the release date for the new firmware to fix issues related to HTC Hero.
