Google Saree By Indian Designer, Satya Paul
Saree, is a traditional desi attire, usually found in India, Pakistan etc. Satya Paul, has designed a Saree which features a Google logo (atually it’s Ooogle, maybe to prevent any trademark issues with Google) and some search results. God knows, what search term he used for the print (I can only spot the word Art). He adopted this strategy to promote his product because by incorporating a big brand name, he can easily market his product for free.

I’m back with another wave of the most popular post of this blog, download free orkut themes! Unlike the previous posts (1, 2), this time I’ll post themes that were officially released by Orkut, but since they were only for Indian users, others couldn’t taste them. If you are a non-Indian and would like to try out what official themes look like, download the themes from below and use them.
The previous ones have become quite boring now, and I was getting mails to add some more. So here are the 10 themes that Orkut recently added for Indian users, but first, make sure you meet all the requirements. :)
DashPress: WordPress Theme Under Development
On WordPress’ birthday, I published a screenshot of my upcoming WordPress theme, which will be based on the new Dashboard theme of WordPress. I’m actually a big WordPress fan, and wanted to use a theme like the dashboard. But unfortunately, I didn’t found any and ended up in making one my own. The theme is very simple and clear in design and offers fresh colours that don’t go hard on eyes. Since the past few days, lots of changes have been made in it. I’m still experimenting with better fonts to match it exactly with the default Dashboard theme.
I’ve decided to name it DashPress (Dash for Dashboard, and Press for WordPress) after much brainstorming. I’ll be releasing it in a couple of weeks (or may be earlier) since I’ve got lots of other work to do as well these days. I’d suggest you to subscribe to my RSS feed to know about the latest updates on the theme.
I’ve set up a demo site for everyone to test and see what the theme will be like and let me know what you think about it. This will be my very first theme, and will be my first attempt to come out with something like this using CSS. I used trial and error method to make this theme. I’m still trying to fix as many bugs as I can. Any help, suggestions or feedback would be highly appreciated.

Download Windows 7 Theme for XP

Windows 7 is the next upcoming OS from Microsoft. And for some reason, they are not letting out much details about this OS. So I don’t think we’ll be able to get our hands on it any time soon. But what if we get to enjoy its look and feel on Windows XP and Vista, eh? Since not much is known about the OS, this theme looks more like Windows Vista, but its nice to see some refreshing changes to the same old look.
Before you jump to the Windows 7 theme for XP, Windows Vista users might also like to check out Windows 7 theme for Vista that I had posted later.
Opera 9.5 Snapshot With New Default Skin
Yesterday, a preview “snapshot” version of Opera 9.5 was released and along that, came another surprise for all the Opera fans. Opera 9.5 is almost ready for the official final release, and will be out anytime this month. A makeover was needed for Opera, because the current ‘Classic’ skin has been on for several years now. The new skin that has been added as the default skin is named as ‘Sharp‘ and is currently available in the latest snapshot release of Opera 9.5.
The new skin features a dark metallic look for Opera, and since I love metallic colours, I’m loving this theme. I feel the tab buttons are a little bigger than they should be. May be that’s because I’m used to thin Firefox tabs. And the close button, at the upper right corner of every tab is also very small. I hope they make it bigger in the final release.
15 Cool Windows 7 Screenshots Surfacing The Internet
Since I did my last post on Windows 7, I’ve been in search of various ‘possible’ Windows 7 screenshots I could find online. During my search, I stumbled across one big article at CrunchGear which had about 15 screenshots of Windows 7, and believe me… They looked very yummy enough to try them out. I wish I can get a leaked copy of Windows 7 from some where :D I’m dying to try it out.

RapidShare Gets New Website Design And Logo
Just woke up now, and to my surprise got the first news of the day delivered to me by Sandip, of BlogsDNA. RapidShare is one of the biggest file hosters around the world offering storage capacity of several petabytes (a petabyte is a million gigabytes) and an internet connection that transfers hundreds of gigabytes simultaneously. Yesterday, they had a design change which is more simple, faster and easier in usability.

Test Websites For Compatibility Using IETester
All developers wish they could install multiple versions of Internet Explorer as every version is different from the other, and it’s real pain for developers to code and test their websites in every version of IE. There are many users of use IE6 as their primary browser, and since Vista gets IE7, it again renders websites differently than IE6. To top it all, we now have IE8, which again renders websites differently than any prior versions.
Some web services like Browsershots have been very useful to test websites in various version of different web-browsers. Recently, the release of IETester will make things much easier now. IETester is a free web-browser that allow you to have the rendering and javascript engines of IE8 beta 1, IE7, IE 6 and IE5.5 on Vista and XP, as well as the installed IE in the same process. Now you can test websites in various versions of IE, all at the same time in different tabs side by side.

XCM has developed a replacement shell for Xbox 360, which actually glow green when lights go out. This new shell replaces your entire exterior of Xbox 360 to produce a creepy-ish green-glowing effect in a dark room. And as this shell is partially transparent, you can even see what’s inside your Xbox 360 (screenshots below).
