This is it. One OS everywhere Ice Cream Sandwich. Google is finally trying to put an end to all the fragmentation issue with all the Android devices. According to Google, “We want one OS that runs everywhere.”

Ice Cream Sandwich will state of the art (holographic) UI, richer widgets, advanced app framework etc. This will be the one OS that will run on phones, tablets, laptops, computers etc. We think, this all to battle down Android fragmentation.

Google will be rolling out Ice Cream Sandwich some where in Q4, no definite dates given and for what devices it will be available first. Android 3.1 for tablets will be rolling out in the coming few weeks for Verizon, to be the first. Motorola XOOM and Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 will probably be the first devices to get Honeycomb 3.1.
