Google Movies for Android: Rent, Buy Movies for Phones, Tablets

Google has just unveiled Google Movies for Android. It is a service for Android phones and tablets that allows users to rent/buy movies fr0m the Android Market for as low as $1.99 and you can download them directly off the Market.

Google Music offers a 30-day rental period and you can watch the whole movie within 24 hours. This service has a Google Movies app for Android phones and a separate one for tablets as well.

These movies will be available directly from the cloud to your Android device and you can even download for watching later on.

You can access Google Music from https://market.android.com/movies and it is currently available for US users only. Google Movies will be available for Android 2.2+ devices and Honeycomb 3.1+ tablets.

    Will playback of movies require Adobe Flash Player for smaller 2.2 OS devices like the Lg Optimus V, or will we just be able to save & watch them through Youtube? You can’t download Adobe Flash to the Optimus series phone’s.=(
