Sony Ericsson XPERIA Arc is one of the most gorgeous handsets I have ever used – and is available out in the market. It was announced at MWC11 this year and was launched in UK around a week ago.

This is the latest flagship device from Sony Ericsson, which is also the successor to XPERIA X10. Talking about the X10, Sony Ericsson managed it quite well to mess up that phone with a very late launch, delayed OS upgrades etc. and we hope they don’t do the same with the Arc.

Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc – the curve!

XPERIA Arc features a 4.2-inch screen with BRAVIA Mobile engine, 8 megapixels camera, HD video recording, 1GHz Scorpion processor, mini-HDMI output, Android 2.3 Gingerbread etc.

Sony Ericsson XPERIA series has always been my favourite when it comes to design. Our first impressions after using the phone was, amazing! Sony Ericsson has really done some hard work with this device. We couldn’t compare it with the XPERIA Play, but you will see that soon as well. XPERIA Play Preview!

The phone has a plastic body, more like the Galaxy S kind-of (also Galaxy SL review). It still feels good to hold and use. Camera is really good with lightening fast shutter speed. Gingerbread on the XPERIA Arc is really fast. No lag whatsoever. And games work even better with the Adreno 205 GPU under the hood.

More details about the XPERIA Arc later. We’ll be doing a full review of the phone and some comparison posts between the XPERIA Arc and XPERIA X10.
