Android 2.2 Ported to HTC Desire with 720p Video Recording
HTC Desire is one of HTC’s smartphones in line to receive the Android 2.2 Froyo operating system over-the-air (OTA) upgrade in the near future. What’s different from the OTA updates the HTC Nexus One users are receiving right now is the fact that the upgrade which HTC Desire users will receive will also have bundled HTC’s slick looking new user interface (UI) for its smartphones. This doesn’t end here as the new upgrade will see Desire’s camera having the support to shoot and record 720p HD movies as well. Support for Adobe’s Flash will also serve as an icing on the cake.

The 720p HD playback capability being added to HTC Desire means users getting out more fun and entertainment out of their hand held device. With the seemingly elegant and smooth usage experience with Android 2.2’s five time better performance, 720p HD video support is sure to spice things up. Not only this, the new features of Android 2.2 are so great that people are already working on ways to port the new build to other devices such as Motorola Droid and Nokia N1. However, nothing beats the official update direct from Google which provides the most stability, reliability and of course, genuineness.
