Android 3.0 Screenshots, Gingerbread UI

android-logoAndroid 2.2 release was an epic slap on Apple’s face, which was announced at the Google I/O 2010, two days ago. The update has already started rolling out to the Nexus One users, hence the advantage of owning a “Google Phone”.

In all the excitement for Froyo, we totally skip out something what Google showed us at the Google I/O. In the videos where google shows what they have in store for Android next, they revealed (probably) Android 3.0 (Gingerbread) UI, which looks like a refresh from what we have in Froyo and previous versions.

An XDA-Developers member spotted this out and posted the differences between the UI of Froyo and (what we think to be is) Android 3.0, with a less-silver-coloured UI.

Check out the screenshots below taken from the YouTube video of Google I/O 2010:

I dont like it at all, not the old UI either. There´s nothing there, just blank in a boring way. Hope they do some major changes to the interaction design, right now its really bad in my opinion.
  • Wow... The whole interface is like smoothened out. 2.2 is all edgy while 3.0 is really awesome, cant wait give it a shot my self!
  • Gingerbread is expected by the end of this year. So there is still some time
    in it :)
