Fennec for Android Review, Screenshots Tour

Fennec for Android pre-alpha has just been released today for public to try out and give feedback. Developers want the browser to be developed according to the end user’s needs and requirements.
Since it’s a 10.2MB installation and requires atleast an Android 2.0 device with OpenGL support, I tried it on my Nexus One. The browser is pretty slow at the moment, but like the developer said, “it’s even more of a pre-nightly build (even earlier than pre-alpha)”. It’s usable though.

Here’s a quick review and screenshot tour of the mobile browser, Fenenc for Android – similar to the one I did for Opera Mini for Android.

Firefox promised an early alpha release of Fennec soon and keeping up their word, they released the pre-alpha version today with addon support and basic functionality like tabbed-browsing, password remembering, download manager etc.
