Motorola Milestone Launching in India Next Week

droid-milestone Looks like the next week will be an interesting one for all the Android fans as two much awaited Android-based smartphones, Motorola Milestone (Droid) and Sony Ericsson XPERIA x10, will be launched in India. Motorola announced that they will be launching Motorola Milestone in India on March 22.

Milestone will be the first Motorola smartphone running Android 2.1 OS. And people expect that the price of the smartphone will be around 30,000 INR, similar to that of XPERIA X10. Motorola Milestone features a 3.7 inch capacitive touchscreen display, full QWERTY keyboard, 256MB RAM, 5 megapixels camera with dual-LED flash and much more.

Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 India Launch on March 26

xperia-x10 The much awaited Sony Ericsson Android-based smartphone, XPERIA X10, will be released in India on 26 March. The new XPERIA X10 runs Android 1.6 operating system and features a 4-inch capacitive touchscreen display, 1 GB RAM, 8 megapixels camera with LED flash and a Qualcomm QSD8250 Snapdragon 1 GHz processor.

Samsung Galaxy Spica Getting Anroid 2.1 OS Upgrade

samsung Samsung has finally announced that they have upgraded Samsung Galaxy Spica to the latest Android 2.1 OS. The upgrade will be available in Europe by the end of this month and will be released in Asia afterwards. However, there is no news when the upgrade will reach other countries.

Users who already own Samsung Galaxy Spica can upgrade their phone’s firmware via PC Studio 7, a tool designed to upgrade Samung mobile software, as the update will be available for users to download and install. If you don’t have PC Studio 7, you can download it from Samsung’s official site.

Nexus One Now Compatible with AT&T and Rogers

nexus-one-logo Google has announced that Nexus One will now be available for AT&T in US and Rogers Wireless in Canada. When Nexus One was launched, it was only available on the Google Web Store, unlocked version so users can user any GSM network.

However, different carriers have different 3G frequencies. Nexus One in the start worked with almost all the carriers except AT&T and Rogers because of its 3G frequency. So users using any of these SIM cards usually could access 2G or EDGE network.
