milestone-android2.1 Motorola has announced that all Motorola Milestone users in Europe will be getting Android 2.1 update. Android 2.1 update is available Over-The-Air. This means that you do not have to connect your Motorola Milestone to your computer or anything like that.

The latest Android 2.1 update for Motorola Milestone will come with support for 9 different home screens, live wallpapers, Google Earth and loads of new applications which include Motorola’s own camera application, Facebook app and Quickoffice.

GsmArena reports,

The big news today was brought to us by some of our readers who assured us that they downloaded the Android 2.1 update Over-The-Air. The update only takes a couple of minutes and a restart of the phone and you are good to go.

However, if you do not want to update your Milestone over-the-air, you can install it manually by connecting it to your computer or follow this link and download the file you need.

Looks like the moment all Motorola Milestone users in Europe were waiting for has finally arrived. However, US Droid owners still have to wait because Motorola has not yet announced, when they will be releasing Android 2.1 update for them.
