Samsung Star S5233T Released with Analog TV

samsung-star Samsung has announced that they will be launching a new handset, Samsung Star S5233T, which will have a TV receiver analog as well. This will enable users to watch all the free TV channels on their mobile. Samsung Star has already been released in Southeast Asia and looks like they will be releasing the phone in other parts of the world as well.

The analog TV is provided by Telegent System and Samsung has just upgraded the UI to provide rich graphic controls. Rest of the specifications are almost the same.

The phone comes with a resistive touch screen, users can change channel by flicking the screen, one click screen capture and recording, on-screen keypad, receive message without interruption in viewing TV.


Other specifications include:

  • 3-inch resistive touch screen display
  • 84 MB internal memory
  • microSD support upto 16GB
  • Analog TV
  • Bluetooth
  • 3.15 megapixels camera

The phone looks good but has all the same features that are already present in other Samsung handsets. This new feature is only good for those who watch TV all the time and even to view other TV channels, users have to pay to watch the channel.

Samsung Star is already a big hit in the Asian market. First they launched a simple Samsung Star phone, and the model they launched a few months later was with WiFi.
