android-logoAndroid 2.1 SDK has released and is now available for download! Developers can download Android 2.1 SDK and have a taste of what is running on the Nexus One.

HTC promised that once the folks over at Google release the Android 2.1 SDK for public, other devices waiting for an upgrade will start getting software updates to run on the latest Android 2.1. Currently, only the Nexus One is running on Android 2.1.

This announcement was made by the Android Development team earlier today:

Today, we are releasing the SDK component for Android 2.1, so that developers can take advantage of the new features introduced in Android 2.1. Please read the Android 2.1 release notes for more details. You can download the Android 2.1 component through the SDK Manager.

Now finally we could see some good apps, games and PC software to show up for Android devices.
