Even though we know how much it sucks, but still we sometimes use Windows Media Player to listen to our favourite music. For some reason, WMP doesn’t support global hotkeys.

That is, if you minimize the Windows Media Player window, the multimedia keys on your keyboard won’t work to play/pause, change tracks on your Windows Media Player.

Windows Media Player Global Hotkeys Plugin

WMP Keys is a plugin/addon for Windows Media Player that adds global hotkey support to the media player. It’s a free plugin that you can use to install global hotkey support in Windows Media Player (only if you use it).

Installation requires you to make sure Windows Media Player is closed. You can open it later after installation and enable the plugin.
