Mozilla released the first release candidate version of Thunderbird 3.0 today which is now available for public down. With this, we can expect the final version coming out real soon!

Thunderbird 3.0 RC1 has been released after four beta releases. In case you don’t know, Thunderbird is a great email client from the same people who brought you the Firefox browser.
