Business Card Reader for iPhone

Business Card Reader for iPhone is a latest iPhone app from Shape Services that makes your iPhone 3GS capable of reading cards and storing the info in your phone as a new contact.

As far as I know, the first cellphones to have an inbuilt business card reader and scanner were the Nokia E61 and Nokia E71. Their business card reader apps were later ported for other Nokia phones.

If you have a stack of business cards whose details you want to store in your iPhone, then this app would be a very useful one. It imports contact information right from the business card to iPhone contacts.

Business Card Reader works well on iPhone 3GS because of its better camera quality. If you’re using iPhone 2G or 3G, then you may need additional gadget on them. As for iPod Touch, it will only recognize business cards from stored images.

Business Card Reader for iPhone is not a free app and will cost you $5.99. You can download it from the App Store.
