Orkut New Design Invitations
by Haris on October 29, 2009
in Social Networks, Tips and Tricks
I just wrote about the new Orkut design that has been released today. Unlike Facebook and other social networks, Orkut has decided to give this new design on invitation-basis,a tleast for now.
The new design looks tempting and being a geek, I’d love to try it even if I hate Orkut a lot and stopped using it two years ago. May be, I would start using it again if I find improvements.

Orkut, the social network that is almost dead, has been redesigned today with cool new features and it’s a lot faster now.

Motorola Droid Features, Specs, Photos
The most-awaited release of Verizon’s Motorola Droid is just around the corner and will be the first phone to run Android 2.0.
So far, HTC Hero is the most powerful Android phone, but soon Motorola Droid will take that place, although HTC Hero will also be upgraded to Android 2.0 soon.
Google Wave Desktop Client for Mac OS X
A week ago, I shared an Adobe AIR app that let’s you have Google Wave on your desktop.
Here’s another app that I have found to bring Google Wave to your desktop, but unlike Waver, this one is only for Mac OS X users.
Download Live Android 0.3
I’ve already told before about Live Android that let’s you run Android OS on your computer from a bootable CD. You don’t need a phone to experience Android on your PC.
Live Android 0.3 is now available for download with lots of new features and apps like Super Mario, virtualization support, mouse-wheel etc.
Android 2.0 Eclair for HTC Hero Confirmed
The rumours were already there that HTC Hero users might get an Android 2.0 Eclair update, and it has just been confirmed by HTC on Twitter that the rumours are true!
They are working on the neat Sense UI for Android 2.0 and will soon release the update. No dates have been mentioned. Just yesterday, I wrote about how to get Android 1.6 Donut on Hero, but looks like it won’t be needed any more.
HTC PC Suite for G1 and Hero
by Haris on October 29, 2009
in Android, Mobile Apps, Softwares
The only complain that Android OS users do is that there is no proper PC Suite or PC Software for Android phones. HTC Sync is available for HTC Android phones, but all it does is transfer .APK files or sync contacts.
HTC Phone Portal is a cool little phone manager app that works really well with HTC Hero and G1. It’s an app that runs a web server from your phone that you can access over Wifi from any browser on the same network.
