Orkut Redesigned: New Features and Faster

Orkut logoOrkut, the social network that is almost dead, has been redesigned today with cool new features and it’s a lot faster now.

The brand new Orkut has been rebuilt using Google Web Toolkit (GWT) which has turned Orkut a lot faster, richer and more intuitive experience for us all.

The key aspects of this new Orkut design are:

  • Fewer pages, faster browsing
  • A clean and simple interface
  • Greater personalization
  • and a lot more.

To try out the new Orkut design, you need to get an invitation. I’m yet waiting for mine, so I’m not been able to add screenshots.

Orkut thinks this new design as the beginning of a new evolution for Orkut. But that would only work if they do something to reduce the amount of spam it gets.
