Android 2.0 Eclair for HTC Hero Confirmed

The rumours were already there that HTC Hero users might get an Android 2.0 Eclair update, and it has just been confirmed by HTC on Twitter that the rumours are true!

They are working on the neat Sense UI for Android 2.0 and will soon release the update. No dates have been mentioned. Just yesterday, I wrote about how to get Android 1.6 Donut on Hero, but looks like it won’t be needed any more.

Here’s the tweet by HTC:

@htc: The rumors are true! Hero will be getting an Eclair update. We ask for your patience as we update Sense for the fancy new Android OS.

Now all HTC Hero users, keep your fingers crossed and wait patiently for the update to get released.
