I did not believe this one when i first saw it because I could not understand why the phone would have a metal or magnetic field detector in it. Turns out, Motorola&#8217;s docking station uses this sensor to determine when you are docked. When plugged in the phone senses the magnet in the back of the dock and knows to launch the docking station software. As a metal detector I can&#8217;t say I have found it to be terrible accurate, but it just goes to show how inventive some of these early apps are already. [...]</description>
