Display Pictures with Moods in WLM

Windows Live Messenger has dynamic display pictures that change with the emoticons you use while chatting with your buddies.

Now you can also create such dynamic display pictures using your own photos for popular emoticons used most often. Simple instructions are given after the jump. Just follow them to get your display pictures with moods.

How to Get Display Pictures with Moods in WLM

You need to have a webcam installed to use this feature.

  1. Click your display picture.
  2. Select Dynamic picture. The “Create a dynamic display picture” window will be displayed and you can create your own display pictures.
  3. Select “Record a video” or “Take a picture”. When you click the button, your image will be automatically captured and applied to the emoticons.
  4. When you’re happy with the results, click Done to save the images. Now start using them in your IMs.
