Ubuntu 9.10 beta, Karmic Koala, is scheduled to release on October 1, but almost two weeks before Canonical has released a new alpha version which brings in faster speed and Software Store to Ubuntu.

The startup time has also been improved along with better cloud integration. And the the old uSplash boot animation has been replaced by xSplash – can be seen in the video after the jump.

The Software Store we told about last month is also included in this release bringing ease of applications installation to less Linux-savy users.

Ubuntu 9.10 beta is set to release on October 1 and the final version will make its way on October 29. Upgrade you previous Ubuntu 9.10 Alpha 5 or get the latest builds from the link below.
