uquery-logoMy iTunes has recently become very slow and freezes several times while accessing App Store and downloading new apps. Don’t know the exact reason, but it could be because of a library of thousands of songs and videos.

A little Googling got me to one of the best App Store tool I could have ever found! An exclusive Apple App Store search just for iPhone and iPod Touch applications.

UQuery gives you a simple interface similar to Google to search for free and paid applications for your iPhone or iPod Touch from a database of over 72,000 apps. It has lots of advanced searching options like categories, price range, different time range etc.

The application pages are also very simple with the app details, screenshots and direct download link from iTunes.

So far, I’m loving this search engine – and till I don’t clean up my iTunes library, this is the perfect alternative for me to search for iPhone/iPod Touch apps and just use iTunes to download them.
