Eric Schmidt of Google Resigns from Apple

eric-google-ceoApple today announced that Eric Schmidt, Google CEO, has resigned from the Board of Directors at Apple.

The main resign behind Eric’s resign could be the increasing conflicts in interests between Apple and Google. First it was Google Chrome OS announcement, then the recent rejection of Google Voice app from the App Store.

Motorola Sholes, Verizon’s First Android Phone

verizon-android-phoneEven if it’s slow, but atleast we are getting to see new Android phones coming up by other manufacturers. As announced earlier this year, Motorola is all set to come out with their Android phone in Ocrober.

It is rumoured that this phone will be released for Verizon, and if it really does, then this Android phone will be the first one to work on the EVDO Rev. A 3G network.

WordPress for BlackBerry Beta 0.9.0.140

WordPress is working hard to reach out all those bloggers who are on the move and like to blog from their cell phones. First, they came out with a WordPress app for iPhone and now they have inched towards BlackBerry users.

Personally, I think they should have come with an Android or Symbian version first. Symbian already has a third-party blogging app for WordPress which is being used by many.

Facebook has its official mobile apps for almost all mobile operating systems i.e iPhone, Windows Mobile, Symbian etc, but Andoid has been the only one left out.

iPhone OS 3.0.1 Released, SMS Flaw Fixed

Recently, an iPhone SMS vulnerability was revealed by Charlie Miller at this week’s Black Hat conference. It was known that Apple is working on a patch and just a few minutes ago they released for everyone to update.

According to Apple, the vulnerability was “Receiving a maliciously crafted SMS message may lead to an unexpected service interruption or arbitrary code execution”.
