archos-logoNow this is something we are yet to see. An Android tablet-PC by Archos. Archos is best known as the cutting-edge media player manufacturer.

They are expected to unveil the new tablet-PCs which will be based on Android on September 15. This looks just in time, which is, before the expected announcement of Apple tablet in September/Ocotober.

No specifications or photos have been released of the final product, but it will be most likely powered by an Intel Atom CPU, 1GB RAM, 160GB HDD and a 5-inch display. It is also rumoured to support HD videos of up to 720p.

This is not all. Archos is also planning to launch an Android app store of its own where they would have Android-based apps, specifically for Archos tablets, supporting 800×480 resolution.

Only time will tell what Archos actually have in store for us.
