live-androidA few days ago we heard of Google coming out soon with an operating system called Chrome OS. But before that, Google announced that by the next year, netbooks will be shipped with Android. Confused?

Well, we all are. Google is still lip-tight about what they’re really planning to release. Meanwhile, there is a cool new project going on using Android.

Live Android is a live CD of Android that could be used on laptops, desktops and netbooks. Now you can try out Google’s mobile operating system right on your computer without installing or changing any files.

You can download the LiveCD disc image of Live Android from here: Download liveandroidv0.2.iso

Remember: This ISO doesn’t work from a USB stick. So don’t waste your time in trying that. Live Android 0.3 will have USB support.

Update: Live Android 0.3 is now available for download!
