Participate in Doodle 4 Google Contest and Win $15,000

doodleGoogle has just announced their second annual Doodle 4 Google contest in the U.S a few hours back.

For those of you who are new to this and wondering what’s the contest is about should know that this is a special dressed up logo that Google runs on their homepage for holidays and other special events.

Doogle 4 Google is an open opportunity for anyone up to K-12 grade students to avail and show their artwork for millions of people to see. HomeSchoolers are allowed to participate in the contest as well.

The winner of this contest will be rewarded $15,000 college scholarship and there is a special treat of $10,000 for any school district that submits the most high quality entries.

This year Google is partnering with Smithsonian’s, Cooper-Hewitt, National Design Museum, and the 40 finalists will have their art exhibited at a Smithsonian museum!

Please note that students from registered schools are only allows to participate. Teachers can register their school by March 17, 2009 and have their doodles submitted by March 31, 2009
