iPhone 4G Mockup Design

iphone-post-imageRumors for the third-generation iPhone (also known as iPhone 4G) have started, just like iPhone 3G rumors popped up last year. Apple is again showing a deaf ear to all these rumors, and isn’t revealing anything about the next iPhone.

Today, Gizmodo posted about a cool iPhone 4G concept design which looks a lot like a MacBook in an iPhone.

Along with the sleek (I’m loving this one!) design, the designer has also mentioned some iPhone 4G specifications out of nowhere. But it would be awesome if we really get them all in the next iPhone.

iPhone 4G Specifications

  • OLED Display Screen
  • iChat Camera
  • Removable Battery
  • 3.2 Megapixel Camera
  • Video Recording support

It is too early to say anything about the next iPhone as Apple has not revealed anything about it. But I really hope they come out with something like this, because this is by far, the sexiest mockup I’ve seen all this week, and all those specifications, oh my!

What do you say? Like the above iPhone 4G concept?

Looks pretty sleek. Dare I say, it looks like a Zune! Actually, the back plate on this one looks pretty cheap compared to the Zune's. I especially don't like the cheapo slide-off panel.

Minimalist designs kind of get on my nerves. Imagine how this would feel in your hand. It would feel like a little box. "Ooooh, how exciting!" Anyone can design a "box" and put buttons on it. The nice thing about the ipod and iPhone is that it's got a nice rounded feel to it -- suddenly making it 'hard-edged' makes it look like any other cheap mp3 player out there.

This is 2010, let's have some designs that think, well, OUTSIDE the box. :)
