How To Update to Chrome 2.0

google-chrome-logoChrome 2.0 (pre-beta) has been released with some new features and several bug fixes. In order to update Chrome to the latest version (currently 2.0.156.1), you need to subscribe to Developer channel of Chrome.

Some new features in Chrome 2.0 are profile support, latest WebKit, full page auto-complete and support for Greases monkey scripts.

Windows 7 beta is not new, because it has already been leaked many times on torrents. But for people who have been waiting for the official public beta, the wait is finally over!

You must have already read that Windows 7 Beta (build 7000) has been available for download for MSDN and Technet subscribers a day earlier than going public. So, today, on January 9th, the doors were finally opened for public to get their hands on the first beta of Microsoft’s next OS, Windows 7.

New Google Favicon Spotted

google-faviconIt was last year in May, when Google came out with a new favicon image for their sites. No one expected it to release a new favicon again this year.

They have now replaced the ‘g’ favicon with a more colorful one. For some reason, I don’t like the new one. Google.com now has the new favicon, along with other Google sites slowly getting the update.

KB961367: Windows 7 Beta WMP 12 Corrupt MP3 Bug Fix

A few days ago, we had Windows 7 Beta (build 7000) leaked on torrent sites which was downloaded by thousands of users.

But many of them are not aware that Windows Media Player 12, that comes with Windows 7 has a bug that could erase 2-3 seconds of audio from the beginning of your Mp3. This bug was later confirmed by a Microsoft spokesperson and a bug fix, KB961367, has been released for Windows 7.
