DestroyTwitter: Desktop Twitter Client
I think, right now, Adobe AIR is all dominated by Twitter clients, because every new Twitter app or client you download is powered by Adobe AIR.
In between hundreds of Twitter clients, a new client has popped up which is rather addictive and provides one of the most simple, light and easy-to-use interface.
DestroyTwitter is still in beta stages, but features all the necessary stuff you need for regualr twittering including Twitpic and TinyURL support.
What most impressed me about this client is its interface. I can keep browsing other Twitter profiles all day long on DestroyTwitter.
And the second thing I liked was its ability to update as soon as a new tweet arrives. It consists of a series of canvases that constantly update to keep tweets current and up-to-date using notifications that appear immediately after a new tweet arrives.
- Updates new tweets immediately
- Send and receive direct messages
- Retweet, save and delete (only your own tweets)
- Browse Twitter profiles directly in the client
- TinyURL and Twitpic support
- Full search function
The only thing I don’t like about this client is its high usage of Twitetr API. But in the recent updates, you can also limit API from the preferences.
You can download it from here: Download DestroyTwitter
Make sure you have Adobe AIR installed before installing this.
