Opera Mini 4.2 for Android
Opera Mini for Android was in beta stage since November 2008, but the Opera team has finally made it live, the final Opera Mini 4.2 for Google Android.
It is is an award-winning Java-based web browser for mobile phones, which is being used by more than 44 million people!
Android is currently running on T-Mobile G1, and Opera Mini 4.2, with a few feature additions and improvements, have been released for this mobile phone and is said to be faster than the default Chrome (web browser) that comes in Android.

Feature Improvements in Opera Mini 4.2
- uploading and downloading files through Opera Mini and saving pages for offline viewing
- Flash videos redirected to Android’s YouTube player
- double tap now works for zooming in and out
- Inline URL entry instead of using native input
- password text entry now hides characters
- problems with exiting application when back button was pressed
- improved trackball speed
- internal pages, like the start page, now have font size extra large for easier navigation
Download Opera Mini for Android
You can download Opera Mini for Android by accessing the Android Market on your phone. (Search “Opera”) Settings from the previous beta installation are retained.
