How To Get Vista-XP-Like Taskbar in Windows 7

Microsoft’s latest operating system, Windows 7, will feature a new taskbar, that you won’t find in any of the previous versions on Windows.

This new taskbar is called the ‘Superbar’. Instead of showing application names,  it now shows big icons of whatever program is running, or pinned on the taskbar.


Some people, like me, have found it interesting to use and have appreciated Microsoft for this. But there are also people who didn’t like and want to have the old XP/Vista-like taskbar back.

How To Get Vista-XP-Like Taskbar in Windows 7

If you also want to have the old taskbar back, follow the steps below.

1. Right click in an empty space on your taskbar.

2. Select Properties.

3. Now select the options like I have done below in the screenshot.


That’s it! Now, enjoy using the old taskbar :)
