Windows 7 Beta Direct Download Links

Windows 7 fever is everywhere and Windows enthusiasts are trying their best to get a hold of the first beta from where ever they can! I’m no different and continued my search to get download links for Windows 7 Beta.

Since Microsoft’s servers are on heavy load, and getting a Windows 7 Beta testers key right now is almost impossible, why not we stop wasting time refreshing our page and start downloading the ISO image of Windows 7 Beta (build 7000.0.081212).

Windows 7 Beta Direct Download Links

Here you go! Direct download links from Microsoft for Windows 7 beta (build 7000.0.081212) 32-bit and 64-bit versions:

Windows 7 Beta (x86) Direct Link: 7000.0.081212-1400_client_en-us_Ultimate-GB1CULFRE_EN_DVD.ISO

Windows 7 Beta (x64) Direct Link: 7000.0.081212-1400_client_en-us_Ultimate-GB1CULXFRE_EN_DVD.ISO

Update: Earlier, both the links were pointing at the 64-Bit version. I have fixed them now. Thanks to all those who commented for the heads up.

If you enjoyed this post, you might want to subscribe our RSS feed or become our Facebook fan! You will get all the latest updates at both the places.

I was downloading the 32-bit iso. but some how it stopped around 300MB.. I tried downloading again and overwrite the file I already downloaded and again it stopped around 300 MB.. is it because there is so much traffic going on through download or what? I hope i can redownload it until it reaches to 2.43GB... -_-

Microsoft Postpones Windows 7 public beta
January 9, 2009 (Computerworld) Microsoft Corp. postponed the rollout of the Windows 7 beta today, citing "very heavy traffic" on its Web site.

The company did not offer a new schedule for delivering the beta of its newest operating system.

"Due to very heavy traffic we're seeing as a result of interest in the Windows 7 Beta, we are adding some additional infrastructure support to Microsoft.com properties before we post the public Beta today," a spokeswoman said in an instant message reply to earlier questions about Microsoft.com's performance. "We want to ensure customers have the best possible experience when downloading the Beta

I dont understand how this could be genuine, why would Microsoft have download servers that are unprotected and enable unrestricted public access. Could this be a hoax providing 2.4 gig of nothingness ?

Has the 32 bit link been updated properly? the 64 bit link prompts a download of 3.15gb, the other just 95kb?
  • Thanks for letting me know. Those links have been updated :)
