When it comes to defragmentation, all tools and applications for this purpose defrag the entire drive. And if you have to defrag just one file, it gets really annoying to do the whole drive.

WinContig is a very effective, easy-to-use, stand-alone defragging tool in just 300KB in size. It quickly defrags your files without the need to defrag the whole disk and does not even create any installation directories or Registry entries on your computer.

There is no risk of losing data and it’s completely safe to use because the defragging and analyzing processes are based on kernel-mode interface library functions. WinContig also allows you to group files into profiles, and also it accepts a number of optional command-line switches that you can use to control how the program operates.

It is a standalone executable, and it doesn’t require any installation. So this app can also be used as a portable app and can run from a USB drive.

This tool works perfectly on Windows XP and Vista. Download it from the link below.
