YouTube Full-Length Movies Coming Soon

After IMDb, YouTube is also going to soon offer full length movies. This new service was confirmed by cnet, and is expected to go live in the next 30 to 90 days.

For quite some months, Google has been in talks with major Hollywood companies in an effort to provide YouTube users with ad-supported streaming movie service.

One of the executives said,

“It’s not imminent, but it’s going to happen. I would say you can expect to see it, if all goes well, sometime within the next 30 to 90 days.”

A top Canadian film company, Lionsgate, agreed back in July to provide YouTube with access to only short movie clips. If this services works out well for YouTube’s 80 million monthly visitors, more companies are expected to join in.
